The Ultimate Baby List

I am so excited for our many friends that are expecting babies in the next year!

Apparently, 2014 is going to be a BABY BOOM (and NO! Jon and I are NOT having another baby anytime soon! lol)

Several friends have asked me about some of my favorite baby items, things that I couldn't live without, and things that I would never buy again-- so I decided to compile a list!

The Ultimate Baby List:

1. Boppy
{via potterybarnkids}
I love my boppy for nursing, especially when feeding a tiny newborn. This pb kids cover is also the most comfortable one out there.

2. Mam Glow in the Dark Pacifiers
{via amazon}
Mam paci's are our favorites and for all of those frantic moments in the middle of the night when you are trying to find a paci-- behold, the glow in the dark paci! Best invention EVER!

3. Aden+Anais Swaddle Blankets
{via amazon}
We have loved these swaddle blankets for newborns who need the security of a tight swaddle but also need a lightweight fabric. We have tried other blankets and these are the best!

4. Bebe Au Lait Nursing Cover
{via amazon}
If you plan to breastfeed your baby it is so important to have a way to feed your baby without always having to hide away in a public bathroom for hours every day. I have used my nursing cover to nurse everywhere from my in-laws home, Disney World, multiple restaurants across town, and anywhere my baby and I are when she decides that she is hungry!

5. Bumkins Bibs
{via amazon}
These bibs are waterproof, easy to wipe down after a meal, and can be thrown into the washer when needed.

6. Medela Freestyle Breast Pump
(and the Medela Easy Expression Bustier to go with the pump)

7. Sleep Sheep
soothing sound machine

8.  Sophie
The best teething toy that is also super cute :)

9. Bumbo
{via amazon}
We have loved our bumbo seat to help the babies sit up as soon as they can support their head. This seat is also super helpful in feeding babies. We used this for Ellie until she was feeding herself finger foods and needed a full highchair tray.

10. Graco Pack 'N Play
{via amazon}

with infant bassinet and baby changing station. We use this in our master bedroom until our babies are sleeping through the night or at 3 months (whichever one comes last). Our girls have loved the infant bassinet and we like having the changing station for all those late night diaper changes. When the girls have gotten older we have removed the bassinet and changing station and put it in our family room for a "safe play zone" :)

11. Graco Duo 2-in-1 Swing and Bouncy Seat
{via amazon}
for when the baby falls asleep in the swing but you don't want to leave her when you go to another room of the house ;)

12. Baby Monitor
{via amazon}
This baby monitor has great sound, is lightweight, and has a belt clip (Jon wanted me to point this out since he is the only one that has ever used this feature... lol).

13. Baby Einstein Activity Gym

best baby activity gym EVER!

{via amazon}

14. Lightweight stroller base for carseat
{via amazon}
(depending on what kind of carseat you have there are lots of options for "snap on" strollers. We have the Peg Perego carseat and use this base.) A stroller base for the carseat allows easy transfer of a sleeping baby in/out of the car.

15. BOB Stroller
{via amazon}
this is our FAVORITE thing that we have EVER purchased for our girls. We started with the single jogger and when Kate was born we bought the double jogger. We use ours for jogging, traveling, and just around town :)

Well, I hope this list is helpful to someone out there!

Of note-- one item that we "like" but do not love is our Baby Bjorn. Jon uses it more than I do since it actually hurts my back to use. If we decide to have another baby I will definitely be investing in a better baby sling/wrap such as a Moby wrap or Boba wrap.

Just a reminder-- there are very few things that you actually "need" for a baby! Babies "need" clothes, food, and LOVE... lots of love! Everything else is extra! Fun, but extra! :)

Happy baby planning and registering, friends!
