I have been enjoying my newest precious bundle of joy too much to bother with the blogosphere. Hopefully soon I will start writing more frequently... maybe not! ;)
Meet our adorable Katherine Lee [Kate]:
She is now 19 weeks and 5 days old. She is a chunky-monkey of pure JOY!
Kate is spirited and super vocal. She loves nursing, cuddling with mommy, and watching big sister do EVERYTHING! Even though she is a momma's girl she still loves her daddy and lights up every times she sees him.
Kate is definitely a "mover and a shaker"! She is rolling over both ways and loves to sleep on her belly for naps... even if I lay her on her back she always flips over to her belly before falling asleep! She is SO strong and can already sit unsupported for a few seconds!
Because she was born with a "tongue-tie" she originally struggled with nursing and gaining weight... but I am happy to report that since she had her tongue corrected and working with our lactation consultant she is a pro at eating and has put on some pounds! ;) Let me tell you-- I am so thankful for the breastfeeding support that I have in my pediatrician, lactation consultant, and AWESOME husband!
Even with the extra pounds gained, Kate is still a tiny little thing... she is not even 50% on the growth chart for her length and I think her legs will soon be wider than they are long! LOL. :)
I am so thankful to the Lord for a HEALTHY and HAPPY baby girl!
Jon and I are so excited to see how God grows and changes our little family over this next year! With each new blessing we have also faced new challenges. Our goal this year is to allow those blessings and challenges to draw us closer to EACH OTHER as a family and most importantly closer to GOD! :)
